Q: is Far-infrared safe? Is it like a microwave or a tanning bed?

A: using Far-infrared to heat is completely safe, so safe in fact that hospitals use similar heaters to warm newborn babies. Unlike microwaves and the ultraviolet in older style Sunbeds, Far-infrared heat is part of the safe bandwidth of light.

Q: are the types of Far-infrared emitters important to me?

A: yes concave ceramic emitters are 96% efficient to the human body. Some other types of infrared heaters are as low as 56% efficient.

Q: can I receive constant FIR treatment with the doctor detox horse therapy unit?

A: of course. To receive constant infrared treatment simply set the timer to the desired session time max 1 hour the heaters will be emitting 100% FIR, with no intermittent shut off.

Q: if I am paying extra for light therapy will I be receiving true white light as used for S.A.D. syndrome (SEASONALLY AFFECTED DISORDER/winter blues)?

A: check that you’re not just paying for a gimmick! We will only fit and use true white lighting in our horse therapy units, normal lighting just doesn’t work! Coupled with the best colour filters available giving the best possible colour light therapy.

Q: if I am paying extra for sound therapy will I be receiving quality sound?

A: we don’t install the typical small cheap speakers or coaxial speakers. We have the system installed by professionals using, tri-axle speakers and one of the top branded named C/D/radio to give the quality you need for true sound therapy.

Q: has Far-infrared technology been around for very long?

A: recognised in the mid 60’s, and over the last 25 years, Japanese and Chinese researchers and clinicians have conducted extensive research on infrared treatments and report numerous health benefits. In Japan, there is an infrared society, composed of medical doctors and physical therapists, to further research and support the health benefits of infrared as a method of healing. Over 700 thousand FIR saunas alone have been sold in Japan and China.

Q: is there an age limit for using Far-infrared?

A: with the temperature 40% less than a traditional sauna, from the young to now the elderly will feel comfortable in this environment.

Q: are there any side effects?

A: there are no side effects , however there may be cases of users experiencing what is called “healing crisis” (also check contra-indications)

Q: what is the “healing crisis”?

A: “healing crisis” is when you’re experiencing the removal of the toxins (heavy metals and chemicals) from the body. This may be followed by uneasiness and headaches if there is any pain you should stop using temporarily and then continue use afterwards. Remember to always be drinking fresh mineral water! However we would like to think that horses do not have a problem with such high toxic level intake as humans.

Q: is there a possibility that I will not see anything using the horse therapy, and or how long does it take to see the effects?

A: the effects will vary depending on your horses needs. Our experience with all the horse treatments is that the owner will see an improvement in pre-warm, alertness and the general wellbeing of their animal, coupled as a preventive measure, users will see the benefits over a short space of time.
